About Avenie
The history of Avenie is colourfull, and nobody really knows when and where the story really began. Anyway it takes place somewhere in the beginning of this millenium, since when Avenie has gone through several line-up changes. As a result, none of the founder members exist in the band anymore.
In addition to the line-up changes, the musical outcome has varied ever since. Now that the members have established their positions as ”full-time Avenie-rockers”, so has the music as well. The music of Avenie can be described as melodic death metal. In addition to hard and heavy guitar riffs and Matti's plausible growling, Avenie still aims at the implementation of appealing melodies by vocals, guitars and synths.
In the spring of 2006 Avenie recorded a 3-track demo, which was only published in the internet. Now Avenie has plenty of new songs to be recorded, and the recording sessions will most likely take place at the end of the year 2007. A part of Avenie is still serving their country in the army until next year, so the best spot to see Avenie alive and kicking (live and gigging) will start in the early 2008.
